Boulder’s Blue Ridge Beanie
Boulder’s Blue Ridge Beanie
This one-of-a-kind hand-knit beanie was made from fiber that started right here on our homestead. The yarn was hand spun and hand dyed from the soft angora fiber of our own Angora goat, Boulder, giving this piece a story all its own.
Rich shades of denim blue, warm caramel, soft gray, cream, and touches of deeper brown come together in a wonderfully textured, rustic knit. The natural curls and character of the handspun fiber give the beanie a soft, almost boucle-like look, with no two areas quite the same.
This hat can also be worn two different ways. Fold the brim up for a more traditional, fitted beanie look, or leave the brim unfolded for a longer, relaxed style that gently hangs off the back. It measures approximately 11" long unfolded and fits most adults.
From goat to fiber, from dye pot to spinning wheel, and finally to the finished hat, this is truly a small-batch homestead piece—slowly made by hand and completely unique.
